GT Solutions is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Choose Your Course
International students holding an M-1 visa must enroll in a fulltime course to maintain their status. Students will need to select a program from the Comprehensive IT, Web Design or Advanced Web Design Page.

How to Apply for M-1 Visa
You can apply for an M-1 visa starting 90 days prior to the first day of your class. Application procedures when applying from overseas are differnt from when applying from within the US.

To apply for a visa from overseas (New Application)
  1. Please carefully read the instructions first before completing your application.
  2. Fill out the Application for Admission (pdf file 51kb). Sample (pdf file 77kb)
  3. Fill out the Financial Support (pdf file 51kb). Sample (pdf file 76kb) (refer to Financial Support below.)
  4. Copies of statement of proof of your financial support (refer to Financial Support below.)
  5. A photocopy of the first page of your passport.
  6. A photocopy of high school (or higher) diploma, transcript or GED.
  7. Download the forms below from the U.S. Department of State and fill them out. Refer to Student Visas Page and sample files at our download page.
    Note: Do NOT pay $100 visa application processing fee to the US consulate until we send you a Form I-20.

  10. Make a payment (see Payment Methods below) for tuition and the following non-refundable fees:
    $100 - Registration fee
    $75 - Processing fee
    $50 - International express mail (for oversea applicants only)
    *Example- a student who takes 6 months course needs to pay $7,625.
  11. After receipt of payment, we will send you a form I-20.
  12. Make a $100 payment to the US Consulate in your country and make a reservation for an interview after you received a form I-20 from us.
  13. Make an additional $100 payment for SEVIS I-901 fee online at US Dept. of Homeland Security web site.
  14. You will receive a visa within 2 - 8 weeks after the interview.
    Note: The consular officer may need to get special clearances depending on the course of study and nationality of the student. This can take some additional time.
  15. You can enter the United States from 30 days prior to the first day of your class.
To apply a visa from within the US (Change of Status, Transfer or Extension)
  1. Please carefully read the instructions first before completing your application.
  2. Fill out the Application for Admission (pdf file 51kb). Sample (pdf file 77kb)
  3. Fill out the Financial Support (pdf file 51kb). Sample (pdf file 76kb) (refer to Financial Support below.)
  4. Copies of statement of proof of your financial support (refer to Financial Support below.)
  5. A photocopy of the first page of your passport.
  6. A photocopy of high school (or higher) diploma, transcript or GED.
  7. Download and fill out the Form I-539 along with a $300 (USD) check or money order payable to "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services."
  8. The original (NOT a copy of) I-94 which is usually attached with your passport.
  9. Copies of all I-20 form that you have ever been issued if you are a F-1/M-1 student.

  13. After receipt of payment, we will send a form I-20 and all documents neccessary directly to the USCIS.
  14. Make an additional $100 payment for SEVIS I-901 fee online at US Dept. of Homeland Security web site.
  15. You will receive a receipt from the USCIS by mail within 2 weeks and your new form I-20 and form I-94 will arrive shortly after. If you don't receive a receipt letter within 2 weeks, please contact us.
  16. If you are changing your status from F-1 to M-1 or M-1 to M-1, you don't have to wait for visa approval to start the course.
Our requirements for the issuance of your I-20 form are the same as the American Embassy or the Consulate.
GT Solutions, Inc. is not responsible for approving your M-1 visa. That decision solely lies with the US Embassy or Consulate.

Financial Support
You must be able to show that you will have the financial support for the whole duration of your stay.

Calculating the minimum expenses for 3 months (double the figure for 6 months)
Tuition, Registration Fee $3,900 (USD)
Living costs $2,400 (USD)
Living cost per dependent $1,500 (USD)
*Example- a student with 1 dependent will need to show $7,800 in financial support.

You can show proof of financial support in 3 ways:
  1. You can submit a copy of your bank statement and other evidence of support such as your tax return or proof of employment indicating your annual salary.
  2. If your sponsor is living in America or a US Citizen, he/she can fill out the I-134 form (Affidavit of support) along with his/her bank statement.
  3. If your sponsor resides outside the US, he/she may fill out the Financial Support form (pdf file 74kb) along with his/her bank statement.
*All of these documents must be written in English and must not be more than 6 months old.

Payment Methods
Payment Methods (At least tuition and fees for the first quarter are due before processing the I-20.)

Refund Policies
Refund policies for the student who applied for M-1 visa from abroad

If your visa is denied, you must send back the visa package that we mailed to you along with the I-20 form and a letter of denial from the US Embassy to GT Solutions, Inc.
100% tuition will be refunded, however the registration fee, processing fee, and International express mail fee will not be refunded.

There is no refund of tuition if the M-1 visa was issued to the student and the student does not show for the intended registered class.
